The Museum of Texas Tech University's on-line mammal database contains data current as of 11 January 2008. Tissue data (TK) are currently incomplete as we are merging several separate databases. If you are unable to find a particular sample in the database but have reason to believe the sample exists, please contact the Curator of Collections. Specimen data have been checked against the hand-written catalog and corrections have been made, as appropriate. The database has also been checked against the specimen tags. Corrections from this effort will be entered into the database beginning in the near future.
This site is currently under development. This version is a prototype. Future additions will include images of specimens and the ability to perform more refined searches. This version includes a filter that blocks general access to specimens and sensitive data.
The data contained in the database are the property of the state of Texas. Any use of these data requires prior written consent of the NSRL Director. The data have been checked for accuracy, but errors may still exist. Any questions regarding the accuracy of the data should be directed to the Curator of Collections. It is the responsibility of the user of the database to verify identifications and other data when required. The NSRL, the Museum of Texas Tech University, and Texas Tech University are not responsible for damages resulting from the use of these data.
