Occasional Papers

It was through the efforts of Horn Professor J Knox Jones, as director of Academic Publications, that Texas Tech University initiated several publications series including the Occasional Papers of the Museum. All editions in the series are a memorial to his dedication to excellence in academic publications. Professor Jones enjoyed editing scientific publications and served the scientific community as an editor for the Journal of Mammalogy, Evolution, The Texas Journal of Science, Occasional Papers of the Museum, and Special Publications of the Museum. It is with special fondness that we remember Dr. J Knox Jones.

Below is a listing of all Occasional Papers of the Museum produced by the NSRL. Those with highlighted titles may be viewed online. To do so, you must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer.  If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, please visit http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html.  If you are still experiencing difficulty downloading Occasional Papers, please contact the Webmaster.  If there is continued difficulty, contact the Webmaster and a photocopy can be provided to you via mail at no charge.
