The first step in this project was to create the necessary GIS layers.  In this case, we have the floor plan of each floor as the base layer.  To this we add a three foot square grid as an overlay.  The observations tables are added as data layers.  This is why the observations were stored in separate tables corresponding to the first and second floors of the building.
